Our roadmap
Pine Trace Golf Club, Reimagined.
Pine Trace Golf Club has been a cornerstone of Southeast Michigan golf since 1989. Built on one of the finest pieces of property in Oakland County and shaped by the vision of renowned architect Arthur Hills, the course was designed from the beginning to be something special — a public club where great golf and genuine hospitality go hand in hand.
Thirty-five years later, that foundation has never been stronger. A comprehensive renovation is well underway — starting with the course and the practice facility, with much more still to come. The pines are still here. The welcome is still warm. And the journey to make Pine Trace better than ever has only just begun.
The Vision
This Isn't Just a Refresh.
When the decision was made to close Pine Trace Golf Club in the fall of 2024, it wasn’t taken lightly. A course with more than three decades of history, a loyal following, and a reputation as one of Southeast Michigan’s finest public tracks doesn’t close its gates without a compelling reason.
The reason was simple: we saw what Pine Trace could become and we committed to building it.
What followed was a comprehensive, ground-up transformation of the golf course, the practice facility, the entrance, and the grounds. And it’s not finished yet. A new banquet venue and a fully renovated clubhouse are already in the planning stages, with construction on the horizon. When the full vision is realized, Pine Trace will stand as something genuinely rare: a public golf club that offers a complete destination experience incorporating world-class golf, exceptional dining, a first-class event facility, and a reimagined clubhouse—all in the heart of Oakland County.
This is what the road ahead looks like.
