The Golf Course
Pine Trace. Elevated.
Pine Trace has always occupied a special place in Michigan golf. Designed by Arthur Hills, one of the most respected architects in the game, the course was built to challenge and inspire in equal measure. What you’ll find this summer is that same great design, now paired with a course that has been rebuilt from the ground up.
Every green reworked. Every bunker reshaped. Cart paths updated. Drainage and infrastructure overhauled. Turf conditions have been brought to a standard that rivals the finest public courses in the country. And a landscape reimagined in subtle and dramatic ways, transforming the visual character of nearly every hole.
Pine Trace has always been a course worth playing. The work we’ve done over the past two years makes it more worthy of that trip than ever, and we’re just getting started.
Built for Every Golfer.
With five tee options and a Par 72 layout that rewards both power and precision, Pine Trace offers a genuinely different experience depending on how and where you play it. The Championship tees stretch to 6,611 yards — a proper test for the serious player. Our newest tee option brings the course in at 3,853 yards, making the same great Arthur Hills design just as engaging and rewarding for golfers of any experience level.
Whichever tees you choose, you’ll find a course that respects your game and asks something of it at every turn.

Recognition
A Course That's Earned Its Reputation.
Pine Trace has long been celebrated as one of the premier golf experiences in Oakland County and Southeast Michigan. That reputation was earned over years of great golf, and with the course now rebuilt and ready for play, we believe the best rounds are still to come.

A New era at pine trace
Something New Is Growing at Pine Trace.
After two years of thoughtful renovation, Pine Trace Golf Club is opening its gates on June 12, 2026. We’ve honored what has always made Pine Trace special: the beauty of an Arthur Hills design, the warmth of a welcoming staff, and a genuine love for the game.
This is still the Pine Trace you know. And it’s only getting better from here.
2024 – 2026
The Rebuild
In September 2024, we closed the gates and got to work. Every green rebuilt. Every bunker redesigned. A new irrigation system, new cart paths, re-grassed fairways, and a fully reconstructed practice facility.
SUMMER 2026
The Reopening
Pine Trace is back starting June 12, 2026. The course has been transformed in every way that matters, and true to everything that made it worth coming back to. Golf at Pine Trace is better than ever.
2027 – 2028
Coming Soon
The renovation doesn’t stop at the course. A new banquet venue and fully reimagined clubhouse are already in design, set to make Pine Trace one of Southeast Michigan’s premier golf and event destinations.
