Pine Trace Golf Club Renovation
Now Underway

Reopening in Spring of 2026

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about Pine Trace Golf Club's future. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the best golfing experience, we have embarked on a significant renovation project that began on 9.3.24.

When Pine Trace opened in 1989, it arguably set the standard for public golf in Metro Detroit. It has always been our intent to provide the best possible golfing experience to our customers. For a number of years, we achieved that goal. With a 35 year old golf course and facilities this has become a difficult task to achieve. We recognize that the competitiveness of today’s marketplace requires a response from us in order to reestablish ourselves as one of the leaders in public golf in Metro Detroit.

For these reasons and more, we have decided to embark on a significant renovation of Pine Trace Golf Club. The scope of our renovation will include the improvement of the tees, greens, fairways, cart paths, drainage and irrigation system. In addition, we will be relocating the driving range with the intent of creating an excellent practice area.

We are currently in the design phase for a new special events venue. We intend to introduce exceptional banquet events to the offerings here at Pine Trace. This new venue is tentatively scheduled to open Spring of 2027. More about this aspect of our project will be available in future emails.

All of the above listed improvements as well as others currently in concept planning are designed to elevate your overall experience and to reestablish Pine Trace Golf Club as a leader in public golf in Metro Detroit.

Temporary Closure:

To facilitate these exciting upgrades, Pine Trace Golf Club is temporarily closed. We anticipate reopening the golf course in the Spring of 2026 with our newly renovated course and practice area.

Alternative Play Options:

During this renovation period, we encourage you to continue enjoying your golf at our sister courses, Shepherd’s Hollow in Clarkston and Cherry Creek in Shelby Township. Both courses will remain open and are ready to provide you with a high-quality golfing experience.

Stay Connected:

We will share regular updates on the progress of the renovation through our website, email club and social media channels. You can look forward to exclusive behind-the-scenes content, renovation highlights and sneak peeks at the improvements. We plan to post pictures and videos documenting the progress of our renovation efforts.
